在遠程教育理論、學習理論和教學系統設計理論的指導下，初步設計出網路教師指導活動的方案，並通過行動研究，選取華師網院2003秋季入學學生公共必修課程《遠程學習方法》 ，應用值機答疑（聊天室） 、論壇（ bbs ） 、電子郵件和作業系統等實時或者非實時的手段，將此設計方案運用課程指導中，最後採用「三角互證法」 ，對平臺數據、問卷調查和訪談以及研究者的反思記錄進行綜合分析，驗證對該課程指導的效果。
