Abstract : by using the self - regulating electrostatic drying equipment, theelectrostatic drying for plant leaves is studied. the equipment is a surface silent discharge ozone generator. the electrostatic drying and natural drying are compared experimentally. the result shows that the electrostatic field is more effective for plant drying. the polarity characteristics of the electrostatic drying is discovered during the experiment and discussed. for accelerating drying, the polarity characteristics should be considered in the drying equipment design
