該項目以我國40多個銅礦床不同級次的地質、地球化學資料為基礎，研究了斑巖型、夕卡巖型、復合型、巖漿型、海相火山巖型、沉積變質熱液改造型和熱液脈型銅礦的礦帶、礦田、礦床地球化學特徵，總結了各礦床的地球化學異常模式，建立了各銅礦類型的勘查地球化學模式模型系統。
