本文從降低網損和提高變電站自動化水平著眼，對變電站電壓無功控制應用方面的問題進行了研究，本文首先簡要回顧電壓無功控制的發展概況，著重指出了現有電壓無功控制裝置的缺陷；通過理論分析，在討論電力系統電壓、無功調節特點以及電壓無功總體控制原則的基礎上討論了變電站電壓、無功控制特性以及控制原理，給出了變電站電壓無功的控制規律；考慮了變壓器分接頭的變化及電容器組的投切對無功和電壓的綜合影響，針對電壓、無功的各種運行控制區域給出了相應調節策略。
