良好的煤粉配風是建立合理的爐內空氣動力工況和穩定燃燒的必要條件。而其中一次熱風送粉系統又是最重要的一個環節，一次風配風是否均勻直接關繫到煤粉在各燃燒器和各噴嘴中的分佈是否均勻，從而直接關繫到著火是否困難、火焰是否穩定、局部是否結焦以及鍋爐的熱效率高低。若一次風送粉系統發生堵塞和煤粉爆燃則可能引發嚴重的安全事故。
