數值模擬的結果表明:超高斯入射光脈沖在光纖中傳輸時脈沖波形、瞬時惆啾、以及峰值強度的演變規律與高斯入射脈沖不同，脈沖波形不再總保持單峰結構，通常將經歷一個從近平頂、多峰、最後到單峰的演變過程;從脈沖的前沿到后沿，瞬時明啾也不再為線性，而是具有多個極值;峰值強度隨傳輸距離的變化趨勢也不再為一單調遞減，而是先增加后減小。
