通過腹腔注射沙棘油對小鼠抗二氧化硫所致氧化損傷作用的研究表明：注射沙棘油后， so _ 2吸入組小鼠的肝、肺組織脂質過氧化物水平（ lipidperoxidation ， lpo ）都有不同程度的降低， gst活性均有不同程度的升高，且沙棘油高劑量組（分別相當於6ml沙棘油kg體重， 8ml沙棘油kg體重）的變化要大；肺組織的變化比肝臟組織顯著，即沙棘油對肺臟的保護作用較肝臟明顯。
