盆地內下白堊統朱巷組沉積特徵表現為：沿郯廬斷裂帶呈北北東向廣泛發育了沖積扇體系，從近斷裂帶西側出現的半深湖-深湖相，向西依次為濱淺湖相到泛濫平原相的規律性分佈，沉積厚度由東向西尖滅、超覆，構成了明顯的東斷西超的盆地構造格局，表明下白堊統的沉積中心依然位於盆地東部。
