首先，對當前本課題研究領域的進展作出綜述，並簡要介紹與超聲導波技術相關的理論基礎；其次，建立了一套有效的實驗裝置，在此實驗裝置基礎上，重點研究了採用分散式pzt傳感器在管中激勵和接收特定模態超聲導波的方法：根據在管狀波導中傳播的超聲波具有頻散現象及多模態特徵，選擇具有單一頻率的特定信號激勵超聲導波，使其頻散最小；同時採用分散式傳感器抑制不同模態的波型。
