In may 2004, aggregation of swinhoes egret was found on the caiyu archipelagos along the southern coast of fujian province. based on the sighting records, school of life sciences of xiamen university and xiamen birdwatching society had organized a jointed research on the breeding ecology and conservation of swinhoes egret. the project was sponsored by the hsbc wetland management training programme and was done from may to december 2004
2004年5月，在發現福建南部沿海的菜嶼列島上有黃嘴白鷺等水鳥集群以後，廈門大學生命科學學院資源鳥類學研究組和廈門觀鳥協會在世界自然香港基金會匯豐濕地管理資金的支援下，於2004年5月至2004年12月完成黃嘴白鷺繁殖生態與保護項目。 -
