The objectives of the committee are to : 1 ) foster and promote the use of latest technology for the control of pollutants from motor vehicle, 2 ) collect and disseminate information about laws and regulations and studies relating to vehicle emissions and their control methods, 3 ) organize experts to draft relevant standards and technical policies and provide technical consultation to government, 4 ) promote the technical exchange between domestic and foreign experts, and 5 ) hold seminars and promote activities relating to vehicle emission control
該委員會目的： 1 ）倡導鼓勵機動車排放控制新技術的運用； 2 ）宣傳與機動車排放及其控制辦法有關的法律法規和研究； 3 ）組織專家草擬相關標準、技術政策，在有關技術上給政府部門提供協助； 4 ）促進國內外同行業者間的技術交流； 5 ）定期舉行研討會及其他相關活動。
