本文在總結前人研究的基礎上，通過大量的室內試驗研究、試驗資料整理，深入分析探討了南京紅山窯水利樞紐工程區域膨脹巖膨脹變形與上部荷載的關系、膨脹變形與含水率的關系以及膨脹力發展與含水率關系，提出了膨脹巖在側向約束條件下含水率、上部荷載雙重影響時膨脹變形的關系，建立了本構關系並應用於工程。
