在分析洞庭湖區東方田鼠暴發成災史及災情的基礎上，研究了洞庭湖區洲灘演變對東方田鼠暴發成災的影響.研究認為，中低位洲灘出露面積不斷增大使東方田鼠種群迅速膨脹，高位洲灘出露面積減小造成汛期東方田鼠大量向垸內農田遷移;湖區洲灘冬春季連續出露天數增加延長了東方田鼠的繁殖期;汛期洪峰水位增高，洲灘大面積淹沒迫使東方田鼠大量遷向垸內;湖內廢棄湖堤為東方田鼠逃避洪水提供了中途休養之地;洲灘地抑制東方田鼠種群膨脹的天敵數量已大大減少.據此，本文指出，三峽工程建成后將對洞庭湖區洲灘演變產生重大影響，因而將改變東方田鼠種群生態環境條件，引起種群動態變化，值得注意 -
