The present study aims to detect stylistic similarities and differences between english sports news reporting in china ’ s english newspaper ( china daily ) and american newspaper ( the usa today ) on the assumption that there do exist stylistic similarities and differences though both of them are english language newspapers in order to enrich the study of journalistic english and sports english as well as enriching the theory of stylistics by widening its application
差異又表現在哪裡?本文旨在從普通文體學的理論框架出發，對中美英文報紙體育新聞的文體特徵進行比較，探尋其差異，分析成因並得出結論。通過數據處理、分析與比較，筆者發現中美報紙中的英文體育新聞報道的確存在異同，並在詞匯、形式、句法和語篇方面均有表現。
