本文根據沉積學、石油地質學和層序地層學理論，綜合利用地表露頭、鉆井巖芯、測井曲線資料和試氣成果資料，對鄂爾多斯盆地塔巴廟區塊晚古生代沉積體系及含氣層特徵進行了研究。結果表明，研究區內目的層段可以劃分為2個沉積體系： （ 1 ）上石炭統太原期為有障壁海岸沉積體系，發育潮坪?瀉湖?障壁砂壩沉積。
