本文採用問卷調查法，以長沙市和永州市冷水灘區八所學校的小學五年級到初中三年級共950名學生為對象抽樣調查，並輔以座談和個人談話法收集了大量的資料，從課外閱讀的興趣與動機、時間與內容、習慣與方式、效能與指導等方面對當前義務教育階段的學生課外閱讀現狀進行了較全面、具體的分析與研究。 -
