本研究的特色和創新之處在於，針對羅氏沼蝦不耐低溫，但體型相對較大，精莢明顯的特點，首次將目前已知具有最強抗凍活性的雲杉卷葉蛾（ sprucebudworm ， choristoneurafumiferana ）抗凍蛋白（ sbwafp ）基因（ sbwafp ） ，通過精子介導的轉基因技術整合到羅氏沼蝦的胚胎中，以期培育出耐低溫的羅氏沼蝦新品系。 -
