這一方面是因為使用經小波壓縮后的信號作為神經網路的輸入，壓縮后的信號不僅提取了原信號中的特徵信息，而且使網路輸入的數據點數大幅度下降，大大提高了網路的運算速度。另一方面，由於選用了較高次分解所得的高頻部分作為網路輸入，從而即使在原始信號中含有較高的嗓音時也能獲得較高的預測準確度。因此，將具有壓縮功能的小波變換與神經網路相結合的方法必將得到廣泛的應用。
