綜上所述，本文在總結社區組團中外部公共空間環境設計特質的基礎上，通過分析其環境的影響因素，論述了整體設計原則及特徵空間的設計方法，引入了場所的意向；並進而探討在社區組團外部公共空間環境的規劃設計中如何兼顧自然因素與人文因素的雙重作用，運用恰當的建築語言創造出可以良性發展的居住環境，以實現人與環境的協調發展。
