林區人口承載力研究是林區經濟可持續發展研究的一個重要方面，本論文利用人口學的有關理論及承載力方面的理論與研究方法，界定林區人口承載力的內涵與外延，分析黑龍江省國有林區人口承載力的現狀，計算黑龍江省國有林區人口承載力水平，得出現階段黑龍江省國有林區人口數量超過了林區人口承載力，超載部分是靠犧牲未來的利益以及降低生活水平來養活的。
