本文針對目前在城市建設中出現的忽視自然和人文生態環境，盲目地沿襲平原城市的規劃理念與方法，從而導致生態環境的破壞、城市結構的混亂、城市地方特色的消失等一系列問題，重點探討總體層面的城市設計中如何結合自然山水的問題。文章從生態學和生態美學的理論研究入手，借鑒國內外相關理論的思想與方法。
