本研究採用了dna解旋熒光法檢測由射線所致的dna鏈斷裂的損傷程度以及抗輻射菌lexa蛋白的輻射防護作用，在輻照前加入不同濃度的lexa蛋白，檢測dna鏈的斷裂，結果表明dna鏈的斷裂程度隨著射線輻照劑量的增加而增強，抗輻射菌lexa蛋白對射線所致dna鏈斷裂的修復不起作用，進一步說明抗輻射菌lexa蛋白不起輻射防護作用。
