According to the sessional papers of 1901, 1905 and 1906, the light on green island was only a fourth order one. it was then decided to replace it by the disused first order light of cape d aguilar. the lantern at the top was removed and together with the light apparatus were transferred to green island in 1905
據一九一年、一九五年及一九六年的會議文件記載，鑒于當時青洲燈塔的照明儀器只屬四級號燈，為提升照明裝置的性能，一九零五年遂決定將鶴咀燈塔上已停用的一級號燈及其附屬設備遷往青洲，重新安裝使用。
