研究表明，當本回線路發生單相接地短路時，在通過公式計算得出的一特定值為正時，離保護安裝處越遠，本回線路零序電流與非故障線路零序電流相位差值越小；當另一回線發生單相接地短路時，離保護安裝處越遠，本回線路零序電流與故障線路零序電流相位差值越大，該值為負時則反之。
