對不同時段地震形變場圖象多重分形特徵的研究表明，震源區及近震源區強震前垂直形變圖象都出現信息維降低，多重分形譜曲線dq變陡，值域范圍變寬的特徵，說明在強震前地殼垂直形變出現了局部化、不均勻性增強的行為，這些對地震預報都有重要的實際意義。
