普通數碼影像（在本文中主要指採用普通非量測數碼相機獲得的數碼影像）的出現，解決了現場快速獲取影像的問題，且降低了近景攝影測量作業對設備及技能的要求，並使攝影測量過程成為全數字流程，但現有的對普通數字影像的量測處理演算法均是基於直接線性變換或光線束理論的，存在像控點要求多、分佈要求高、不適宜應用的缺點。
