在下述第4條規定的船舶擱置不用，包括起浮或拖帶及船舶下水，以及在船舶被移入船塢或遊艇停泊港、拆除設備、配置設備、徹底檢修、日常保養，或是在船舶接受檢驗的情況下（也包括進或出船塢、偶爾擱置不用或配置設備而造成的船舶擱置、離開原地去進行救助或基於其他目的，開往其泊位或從泊位離開，但以不離開該船舶被擱置的港口或地點為限） ，但不包括船舶被用做船宅或船舶正進行重大修理或船舶正在改造的情形，除非承保人得到通知並同意所要額外增加的保險費。
