    閉水試驗方法因其應用時間較長，目前已積累了較豐富的經驗，但在閉水試驗時，管道兩端砌築磚堵、抹防水層、養護、灌水浸泡，以及試驗后的放水、磚堵拆除等繁雜工序，不僅費工、費時，而且消耗原材料，尤其是在缺水的地區以及頂管施工的無壓管道，這些矛盾更加突出；因此，為滿足迅速發展的市政建設需要，有必要探索新的檢測方法，閉氣試驗就是其中一種，但是閉氣試驗目前還不完善，有待于進一步深入研究。
