Experimental studies on s1a - 02 gas turbine with water injection into compressor interstage / inlet as well as that on turbocharger self - loop test rig with inlet water injection are introduced. test results are in good accordance with simulation results, wet compression can lower compression work and increase engine power output so engine performance is enhanced, if engine power output is not changed, efficiencies of compressor and this engine become higher and turbine inlet temperature and fuel consumption become lower and if keeping t4 the same as that before wet compression is used, efficiencies become furthermore higher and engine power output increases greatly
