  4. Should the parties fail to make such appointment or entrustment, the chairman of the arbitration commission shall immediately appoint one sole arbitrator to form an arbitration tribunal to hear the case

    雙方當事人逾期未能共同選定或者共同委託仲裁委員會主任指定的，仲裁委員會主任應立即指定一名獨任仲裁員成立仲裁庭審理案件。
  5. If both parties agree to having a sole arbitrator to hear their case but are unable to agree on the choice of such a sole arbitrator within 20 days from the date on which the respondent receives the notice of arbitration, the chairman of the arbitration commission will make the appointment

    如果雙方當事人約定由一名獨任仲裁員審理案件，但在被申請人收到仲裁通知之日起20天內未能就獨任仲裁員的人選達成一致意見，則由仲裁委員會主任指定。
  6. If the parties reach a settlement agreement by themselves through conciliation without involvement of the arbitration commission, any of them may, based on an arbitration agreement concluded between them providing for arbitration by the arbitration commission and their settlement agreement, request the arbitration commission to appoint a sole arbitrator to render an arbitration award in accordance with the contents of the settlement agreement

    當事人在仲裁委員會之外通過調解達成和解協議的，可以憑當事人達成的由仲裁委員會仲裁的仲裁協議和他們的和解協議，請求仲裁委員會指定一名獨任仲裁員，按照和解協議的內容作出仲裁裁決。
