Abstract : the basic synthesis process parameters of water reducing agent of melamune series was studied. the factors affecting hydroxymethylation, stlfonation, low - ph condensation, and high - ph condensation were thoroughly studied. from that, the good conditions for every stages were determined. by addition of compound additives made of some cheap components, the production cost of melamine water reducing agent was greatly decreased so that the spread and application value was increased
