首先，我們針對新世紀對大學生道德素質提出的新要求和大學生道德素質培養內容上存在的問題，構建了由基本培養目標、基本培養內容和基本道德規范組成的明確具體的大學生道德素質培養內容體系：尤其是創造性地提出併科學界定了「報國守紀，尊師公正，積善惜生，開放創新，勇毅成才」的大學生基本道德規范其次，我們借鑒國內外大學生道德素質培養方法論的研究成果，創造性地構建了大學生道德素質培養的哲學理論方法、系統工程方法和道德教育方法等理論方法以及道德理論灌輸法、志願活動訓練法與道德心理調節法等方法體系，首次闡明了哲學理論方法、系統工程方法、志願活動訓練法與道德心理調節法等有效的大學生道德素質培養方法。
