在wto體制下，一方面由於出口環境的改善，長期以來困擾眾多生產廠商的出口配額將逐漸取消，這將使浙江省的紡織品服裝出口迎來極大的發展機遇；但另一方面，國際紡織品服裝市場競爭日益劇烈，主要進口國借環保、安全之名的貿易保護措施也日趨升溫，加之行業內部比較優勢的減弱等諸因素的存在，使浙江省紡織品服裝業面臨著很大的挑戰和危機，從長遠角度看，入世所帶來的挑戰對該行業的影響將大大超過短期內的收益。
