現在我必須補充說一下，就是那些東西起初都雜亂無章地堆在那裡，以致占滿了住所，弄得我連轉身的餘地都沒有。於是我開始擴大和挖深山洞。好在巖石質地是一種很松的沙石，很容易挖，當我覺得圍墻已加固得足以防禦猛獸的襲擊時，我便向巖壁右邊挖去，然後再轉向右面，直至把巖壁挖穿，通到圍墻外面，做成了一個可供出入的門。
