本研究包含兩個子研究，第一個子研究以個案研究的方式臨床實驗的方法，探討了以認知療法和行為療法為主的心理療法在中學生網路成癮行為的矯治中的療效及原因；第二個子研究是藉助「 sars 」到來所創造的有利機會，以個案研究的方式，問卷法與訪談法的方法，對9名成癮中學生接受強制性措施戒除網癮之療效及原因進行了追蹤研究。
