通過對北京地區使用不同種類改性瀝青形成機理的分析、改性瀝青室內常規、非常規、特殊實驗和改性瀝青混合料在公路路面上的實際應用，研究了各類改性劑對改性瀝青所起到的改性效果。並通過改性前後的實驗結果、不同種類改性劑的對比實驗、不同基質瀝青改性后實驗結果的對比，提出對各種改性瀝青在不同氣候條件、交通條件下的適應性，為改性瀝青在公路瀝青路面中的應用提供了良好的技術支持。
