本論文針對皮革圖象的上述特點，在對各種圖象分割演算法進行研究后，選用了并行區域分割中的閾值化技術及串列邊界分割中的輪廓跟蹤技術，將皮革圖象的邊緣輪廓檢測出來，並對該輪廓進行多邊形擬合，使其由圖象轉換為圖形，以便為后續排樣工作提供方便。
