本文結合「基於獨立分量分析的旋轉機械故障診斷新方法的研究」國家自然科學基金項目（ 50205025 ）和「基於corba分佈計算策略構建遠程監診的新方法研究」省自然科學基金項目（ 501061 ） ，以面向大型旋轉機械故障診斷的時頻分析為目標，研究了該方法的基本原理和演算法：針對其端點效應等不足，提出了新的數據延拓技術；針對emd演算法的精度和速度上的不足，提出了新的改進演算法；設計和開發了基於emd時頻分析的軟體系統；以模擬轉子實驗臺為基礎構建了實驗系統，並進行了實驗研究。 -
