The story, presented from a male perspective, is actually quite interesting. i am not sure if director riley yip has incoporated any of his personal experience into the script or not, but what is certain is that the story shows his genuine love toward hong kong cinema. through the main setting of the film, that is, the movie theater in cheung chau, yip recalls the collective memory of the older generations about their time and reminds us how vigorous the film business was in the past
此片以男性角度為主，編劇兼導演葉錦鴻或許曾把部分個人經歷套入劇情也說不定，不過有一點肯定的是，葉把自己對香港電影的熱愛和感情完完全全融入劇情之內，他透過戲中主景，長洲舊戲院，把當年上畫的電影海報重現眼前，劇情之間亦穿插不少舊戲片段，對于同為成長於六七十年代的觀眾，必會有一番感受，猶其看著當年電影上畫觀眾魚貫入場，景況墟撼，和現在冷清的戲院環境相比，就更感無奈和惋惜。 -
The first part of the movie consist of an innocent first love, and the next part consist of traveling through time and unusual twist, this combination is nature and from this, audience can see that the director has the capability to create this genre of movie and the maturity of his skills
