地處穴要地；有一年廟后掘井，結果井泉湧出，有如血水一般，令人驚懼，后經由神明指示，才知原來是誤掘到眼，一時蔚為奇聞。 -
At that time, japanese government would like to open up the road and the residents were afraid that they could not store their fishing tools so they explain to japanese that this is the won - ye miao of miaoshou temple. therefore they kept this temple. it was also called " won - ye guan "
另有一說為當時伍德宮規模較現貌為大，但因日人將廟宇拆去大部，后來附近的金門籍歐厝的歐山發出面向日人說明，此廟由其管理，方免拆廟的命運。
