摘要本文結合中國現代文學學科的實際情況，闡釋當前流行的「國學」這個學術概念的局限性，認為「國學」不應當僅僅局限於中國古代文化的研究，而應當將20世紀中國文化的新發展，將中國各少數民族文化的研究，將海外華人華文文化的研究，將中國當代文化及其發展趨勢的研究，都包括在「國學」研究的范圍之中，從而提出了「新國學」這一學術概念。
