本文主要藉助新制度經濟學制度變遷理論，以及馬列經典作家有關合作經濟組織的基本原理，運用「制度結構?經濟行為?制度績效」的基本分析框架，在盡可能地佔有詳盡史料和充分了解與掌握已有研究成果的基礎上，以湖北省為個案，以全國整體的農村經濟組織制度變遷為參照，對建國后中國農村微觀經濟組織從互助組、合作社、人民公社，直至20世紀80年代初期家庭承包制下的農戶經濟組織的變遷過程，作了較為詳盡的考察與分析。
