This paper is about the study on the debugging and maintenance of substation automation system the author analyzes and compares the present debugging interface of microprocessor - based protection relays through summarizing the debugging and maintenance of routine substation automation system ， indicates the advantage of software debugging interface based on the pc in allusion to the characteristics of the distributed substation automation system ， the author presents the design idea of programming the debugging software for the intelligent devices ， the monitoring station and the communication network based on the object - oriented programmable technology this method may simplify the workload of debugging and maintenance of substation automation system greatly ， shorten the time limit for building and debugging of substation automation system and improve the security and the stability of system ， therefore it is of great useful value
作者通過歸納總結常規變電站自動化系統的調試方法和維護手段，分析比較了現有的微機保護調試界面，指出了基於pc機的軟體化調試界面的優越性。針對分層分散式變電站自動化系統的特點，提出了利用面向對象編程技術，編制間隔層智能裝置和變電站層監控系統及通訊網路層報文監視的智能化調試軟體的設計思想。該方法可大大簡化變電站自動化系統的調試和維護工作量，進一步縮短變電站自動化系統的安裝調試工期，提高系統運行的安全性與穩定性，具有很大的實用價值。
