為此本研究對牛耳草葉片光系統的光化學活性參數和葉黃素循環色素在脫水復甦過程中的變化進行了分析，結果表明，在極微弱的光強（ 3 mol m ~ （ - 2 ） s ~ （ - 1 ）下，脫水8天的牛耳草葉片誘導了葉黃素循環，葉黃素循環可能介導了牛耳草葉片脫水過程中的光保護作用。
