筆者從交通與經濟在發展中結合的過程，並結合當前城鄉發展的實際，闡述了路橋經濟的形成與發展的內涵與特徵、產業特徵及其作用、路橋經濟與交通意識、路橋經濟發展與農業發展的關系，並著重剖析玉林市、南寧市實施路橋經濟發展戰略的實踐及成效，說明了路橋經濟是城鄉發展的重要推動力。 -
