The main part of this thesis is the group interpretation and research of the metal characters on the wall plate ( qiangpanmingwen ). the part for interpreting extensively consists of the fruit for researching of the famous experts such as tanglan and qiuxigui. to express the proof and explanation for different ideas, it takes two ways - - - - directly citing for the simple thing and short narration for the complex part as well for the part about the older scholars such as sunyirang, xutongbo and guomoruo. on the base of the upper content it finds and changes the mistakes about the liding, telling and explanation. then the author makes the proof more thoroughly and has his own perspective. but there is also uncertain place for questions to be explored for the future
集釋部分主要匯集了唐蘭、裘錫圭等墻盤考釋者的研究成果，對于諸家的文字考釋和訓解，比較簡略的則直接稱引，引證繁復的，則用簡短的語言加以敘述，有些涉及孫詒讓、徐同柏、郭沫若等前代學者之處，也作了簡要的介紹。在集釋的基礎上，糾正文字的隸定、辨識及訓解中的一些錯誤，並作了進一步的考證，提出了自己的拙見，對于有爭議而又不能確定的地方或存疑或談自己的思考，以便日後研究。
