    本文中提出了若干有價值的新思想、新方法，完成了以下內容：首先，提出了數字視頻監控的功能結構，描述了數字監控系統的組成、特點和發展現狀；然後研究了適合於跟蹤監控的攝像機坐標系，提出了一種雙角度攝像機坐標以適合本系統的實際應用；討論現場圖像的預處理，其中包括灰度級變換、噪聲濾波和圖像恢復；在運動監測中，比較了幾種常用的運動檢測方法的優缺點，提出了一種基於時域和空間域的圖像檢測方法；另外，在得到運動物體的圖像時，採用矩形框技術填充由於差分圖像造成的孔洞，此方法簡單可靠，有較大的實用性。
