筆者不太清楚此片是否全本地製作，但聽聞其製作費龐大，臺前幕後亦不乏西方電影人的參與，對白九成九以英語為主，看來目標不單只是本地市場這么簡單，而是希望能藉助楊紫瓊和鮑德熹在《臥虎藏龍》的餘威再下一城，擄獲歐美觀眾的支持。
