    長期以來，我國傳統的小學識字教學在目的把握上存在偏差，導致在教學中出現一些嚴重的問題：識字量少（達不到閱讀的要求） ；機械識記（死記硬背，易忘，負擔重） ；精細識記（識字過程分析講解居多，整體認讀難，在閱讀過程中無法做到「識字自動化」 ） ；評價片面（單純以能寫會默為評價標準） ，等等。因而造成了小學識字教學「少慢差費」的狀況，對整個小學語文教學帶來了很大的負面影響。
