寄生於皮下及肌肉時可出現皮下結節，常分批出現，以頭部及軀干居多，四肢較少，一般無明顯癥狀，僅有肌肉酸痛感覺寄生在腦內可引起顱內壓增高頭痛惡心嘔吐神智不清視力模糊癲癇等癥狀，甚至可引起偏癱半身不遂失語精神癥狀等寄生於眼可影響視力，常可見蟲體的蠕動，重者可致失明。
